When I feel called.
There is a lot of noise out and about these days. Everyone is vomiting their souls onto the internet. I do not really want to add to the din, but baby needs a new pair of shoes, so to speak. So, I blarble and gurgle onto the internet like everyone else and hope that someone will take notice and pay me for it. Like a young boy playing little league baseball, dreaming of making the show.
The first essay of the month is for free subscribers, a taste of the good life, you might say. The rest of whatever I publish in the month is for paying subscribers. Writers who work for free bring down the quality of writing and the quality of reading. If you want the good stuff, pay for it. If someone provides you a valuable service, pay for it.
People who like my writing tell me I am good at it. You may like it too. If so …
